Despite the dreary weather, 13 Farmland Trust supporters came out to Jubilee Biodynamic Farm on February 22nd for a morning of nature observation and quiet reflection. Experienced wilderness awareness instructor Alexia Allen encouraged the group to use all our senses and to pay special attention to the behavior of the birds we saw rather than simply trying to identify them. For many of us, this was a new way to experience the natural world and we found ourselves looking much more deeply at our surroundings and observing things we would normally miss. It was not all serious, however – we also played a rousing game of tag! Thank you to Alexia for sharing some of her deep knowledge and to Jubilee Farm for being our hosts!
