Pierce Conservation District Workshop: Purchasing Farm Property, Mar. 3

As part of our work in the Puyallup Valley, we’re not only conserving land but looking to support farmers purchasing organic farmland. However, land ownership is a big step for a lot of producers, and one that requires careful consideration of many issues—from farm management goals to business planning.

That’s why we’re happy to share the details on this upcoming class offered by the Pierce Conservation District (PCD)—the farming and land management resource in Pierce County.  If you’re a farmer or ever hope to buy a piece of farmland, this class will help you understand the complexity of evaluating and purchasing quality farm ground. After you attend this class, consider attending the FarmLink event the following weekend, hosted by PCC Farmland Trust and Cascade Harvest Coalition where we’ll tour two farm properties for sale in the Puyallup Valley and learn more about the FarmLink program and PCC Farmland Trusts current and future work in the Puyallup Valley.
