Join us and our partners from Pierce Conservation District and Washington Conservation Corps on March 16 for a tree planting party on Dropstone Farms! Farmers Lauren and Garth have fenced off a stream corridor along Card Creek from their field and livestock operations. A tributary to the Carbon River, this section of stream bank is lacking in native vegetation to keep water temperatures cool and invasive reed canary grass at bay. Help improve on-farm habitat and drainage by planting a native tree and shrub buffer! There are almost 600 trees to plant, so grab your gloves, bring your friends, and get ready to make a huge impact on the health of this local farm. This is a continuation of the project we started in September of 2018.
Thanks to our friends at Sunrise Tacos for providing lunch!
